For the occasion of his retirement in 1980, Sy Schuster got in touch with a large number of present and former colleagues, students, friends, and associates, and asked that they send letters about John, to be presented to him at his retirement party. There are three binders full of the resulting letters.
Here's the progress of our scanning so far. One caution -- they're presented as scanned images, so each one is 30k to 100k in size, that is, fairly large. Personal contact details have been obscured.
